NEW ORLEANS, La. - The New Orleans Police Department has reopened LaSalle Street following a morning SWAT roll in the area that lasted for hours.

Police called in a SWATTeam when they believed suspects wanted for questioning in relation to the murder of 1-year-old Londyn Samuels, may be inside of a residence, in the 2800 block of LaSalle.

The NOPD SWAT team made contact with two adult females and one adult male inside of the home, and is currently in the process of interviewing them.

NOPD is currently searching for another man who might be still inside of the residence.

Three children were also inside of the home.

No one was injured or hurt during the SWAT process.

Just after midnight detectives attempted to interview an individual at the residence and the occupants inside refused to speak with detectives.

Samuels died after she was shot while on a walk with her babysitter Thursday night in Central City.

The babysitter, an 18-year-old woman, was shot in the back, but police said she's expected to survive.

The shooting happened at about 8:20 p.m. near the intersection of S. Saratoga and Washington Avenue.

Witnesses told Eyewitness News reporter Tania Dall that a man fled the scene by climbing over a fence and jumping into a silver car. That hasn't been confirmed by police.

Serpas said they don't know if the babysitter and the baby were the target.

The babysitter managed to get into a neighbor's house and call for help, according to witnesses.

If you know anything that can help investigators solve this crime, call Crimestoppers at 822-1111.
