BATON ROUGE Junior Quentin Thomas of Breaux Bridge was looking forward to the 2014 season like no other season since arriving at LSU in 2011. He was going to start at defensive tackle after redshirting in 2011 and backing up other starters in 2012 and '13.
'This is what I've been waiting for and working for,' Thomas said during player interviews on Monday. 'I can't wait for the season to start.'
Thomas is now going to have to wait longer as he suffered an injury this week in practice, LSU coach Les Miles confirmed on Friday morning through LSU sports information director Michael Bonnette. Thomas was not at practice Friday morning.
The Baton Rouge Advocate reported that Thomas suffered a torn bicep injury on Wednesday that will require several months of rehabilitation, and he will be out for the season.
