Entergy has reported that 500 are still without power in New Orleans East as of 10 a.m. and that the power should return around noon on Monday.

Entergy says and underground power cable failed in the area and that crews are on scene trying to fix the problem.

NEW ORLEANS -- Entergy New Orleans is reporting almost 3,000 customers without power Monday morning, according to their website.

Entergy's website reports that 2,936 customers are without power and that they are working to determine what caused the outage at this time.

Entergy says they expect service to be restored around 10 a.m. and that they have sent crews out to restore power.
