NEWORLEANS - Prices on everything seem to be going up lately, but apparently crawfish are bucking that trend.

The warm weather we've been having makes mudbugs move and eat more, which makes them grow faster, suppliers said.

Although supply is usually tighter in the winter, which raises the prices, retailers said the price for crawfish has actually dropped about $0.75 a pound in the last couple weeks.

Live crawfish will run you anywhere between $3 and $3.40 a pound, and that price is expected to continue to drop.
