NEWORLEANS -In a follow up to a 4 Investigates report, WWL-TVhas learned that a former first city court judge was cleared of wrongdoing in a two year federal probe sparked by her frequent absences from the bench.

Authorities reviewed Sonja Spears' court expenses during a time she maintained a home near Boston.

Spears, who resigned in 2010, attributed her absences to out-of-town medical treatments.

Spears' attorney confirmed that no charges will be filed.
