NEWORLEANS- Firefighters battled a three-alarm fire in Mid-City Saturday night, with flames engulfing several vacant homes.

The fire started in a vacant double on Banks St. at S. Gayoso, about 8:30 p.m., according to the NewOrleansFire Department.

The flames spread to two other vacant homes, also damaging them.

Firefighters were able to bring the fire under control quickly.

No reports of any injuries.
