NEWORLEANS-- Police are investigating a triple shooting that killed one man and sent two others to the hospital, according to the New Orleans Police Department, and several hours a man was found shot to death five blocks.

Around 1:30 p.m., three men were shot near the intersection of St. Claude Avenue and TupeloStreet in the Lower 9th Ward, according to police.

A 28-year-old man died in the hospital, while a 52-year-old man was shot in the leg and a 20-year-old man was hit in the hand. Both were last listed in stable condition in the hospital.

Around 3:45 p.m., a 36-year-old man was found shot to death in an alley in the 600 block of Tupelo Street, according to police.
