A passenger boat collided with a rig Friday morning about 15 miles west of Southwest Pass, a Coast Guard spokesman said.

Twenty total people were onboard the boat, including four crew members, the spokesman said. No injuries were reported and the passengers were safely transferred to another boat.

The type of rig was unknown. The spokesman said there was a report of a small oil sheen and as such, the Coast Guard has requested a fly over to investigate the accident further.

No waterway has been impacted and there are no river closures due to the accident.
