BAYOU CORNE, La. -- The sinkhole in assumption parish continues to grow.
Video taken over the weekend near Bayou Corne showed more trees being swallowed up. Seismic activity in the area was also reported.
Work at the site was halted for a time but has since resumed.
The sinkhole first appeared in August 2012, following the collapse of a salt cavern owned by Texas Brine. It has grown to 26 acres.
Close to a year and a half later, almost 300 people are still displaced from their homes.
