NEWORLEANS- The woman whose body was found in the Intracoastal Waterway Monday died from drowning, the Orleans Parish Coroner's Office said.

The woman has still not been identified and toxicology reports are being awaited.

The coroner's office believes that the body is that of a black female, who did not have any sign of injury. It is believed she was in the water for 2-3 weeks.

The St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff's Office said it has delivered some records to Orleans officials for identification purposes. Investigators in the St. John's office are still searching for a man and woman who have been missing for about three weeks.
