NEWORLEANS-- Mardi Gras may still be months away, but preparations are already underway, including auditions for one of the city's female dance troupes.

The Camel Toe Lady Steppers held their first-ever auditions Sunday for new members. They've been marching in the Muses parade for 12 years, but they're hoping to get some new, talented members to add to their troupe this year.

'We're always interested in women who are interested in the roots of music and just interested in participating in New Orleans' culture,' said Denise Frazier, the special events coordinator. 'And so, that's why we decided to hold this today.'

The group also received a number of auditions via email.

They march every year with the Stooges Brass Band and work to raise money for the Roots of Music organization.
