HAMMOND, La. -- Authorities have arrested one man and are looking for a second suspect in connection with a Hammond man who was found shot to death inside his apartment on North Oak Street, according to the Hammond Police Department.

Friday, Raphael Garrison, 23, was found lying on the floor, unresponsive with multiple gunshot wounds. Garrison was a graduate of Southeastern Louisiana University and was getting his master's degree from the school.

Police arrested Richard Hudson, 20, of New Orleans, and they are looking for Terry Michael Landry, 20, according to Hammond Police. Narcotics is believed to be a motive for the shooting, according to police.

Police believe Landry, of Gretna, may be in the New Orleans area.

Hudson was apprehended by authorities at his home in New Orleans, according to Hammond Police.
