HARRISONCOUNTY, Miss. -- A Slidell man who is a high school teacher in Hancock County was arrested by two different Mississippi sheriff's offices for sexual battery involving a student.

Hiram Coker, 42, of Slidell, was initially arrested by the Hancock County Sheriff's Office on April 12 for sexual battery involving a student, and Monday Coker an arrest warrant was issued by Harrison County Sheriff's Office after learning that one of the alleged sexual encounters with the 16-year-old student took place at a Harrison County hotel, according to the Harrison County Sheriff's Office.

Coker is currently in teh Hancock County jail and will be transferred to HarrisonCounty after posting the Hancock bond, according to the sheriff's office.
