NEWORLEANS -- Authorities from multiple law enforcement agencies arrested a man Tuesday in connection with a 2012 shooting in Gretna, according to the FBI.

Quincy Hamilton, 21, was arrested on a warrant out of Jefferson Parish for four counts of accessory after the fact to attempted second-degree murder, said a statement from Mary Beth Romig, a spokesperson for the FBI. He was apprehended by members of the New Orleans Violent Crime Task Force.

Hamilton was the target of a drug dealing investigation by the FBI. He was wanted in connection with a shooting on Dec. 8, 2012 on East Butterfly Drive in Gretna.

Authorities found a Glock 9mm with two loaded magazines, a box of 9mm ammunition and approximately $1100 in US cash in Hamilton's 2013 Chrysler at the time of his arrest, according to the FBI.

Hamilton was booked into the Orleans Parish Prison and is awaiting extradition by the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office.
