Two pedestrians killed on Airline Drive

Kenner Police are investigating a pair of accidents that left two pedestrians dead on Airline Drive overnight.
Police said the first accident happened shortly after 10 p.m. Wednesday.
According to police, the victim was walking eastbound on the shoulder of East Airline Highway when he was struck by a pick-up truck. He was pronounced dead on the scene.
No charges have been filed against the driver of the pick-up truck.
The second fatal accident happed around 2:30 a.m. Thursday. Investigators said the victim was walking eastbound on the roadway at 181 West Airline Highway when she was struck by an SUV. This victim was also pronounced dead on the scene and no charges have been filed against the driver of the SUV.
The names of both victims are being withheld until their families can be notified.
