Several people were arrested and citations given out during a recent bar check at a New Orleans nightclub, the NOPD announced Sunday.

The bar check was conducted Saturday night by NOPD officers at Club Fabulous in the 800 block of North Claiborne.

During the bar check, officers confiscated three handguns, marijuana and made several arrests.

According to the NOPD, several crimes have been occurring in close proximity to the bar. Those crimes include murder, shootings and batteries.

Police said the owner of the bar was issued a citation for several violations, including allowing minors into the establishment.

The NOPD has asked anyone with information on illegal narcotics and gun activity in their neighborhood or at a bar to call Crimestoppers at 822-1111. Callers do not have to leave a name and could be eligible for a reward.
