A pair of Bush administration officials are expected to visit the Crescent City Monday – one looking at commerce, while the other will focus on criminal justice.

U.S. Attorney General Michael Mukasey will be in New Orleans to meet with U.S. Attorney Jim Letten.

The two officials will talk about efforts to rebuild the city’s criminal justice system and are expected to announce funding for the effort.

Meanwhile, U.S. Commerce Secretary Carlos Gutierrez will visit Reserve.

Gutierrez will visit the officers of Dredging Supply Company on Airport Road to discuss the company’s achievements in export growth. Gutierrez will also visit the company’s manufacturing facility.

This comes ahead of a special award the company will receive Tuesday from President Bush recognizing Dredging Supply Company for their work in increasing the volume of exports from this country.
