Nathaniel Bradley, left, Richard Shelby, middle, were arrested Monday morning. Amos Washington, right, is wanted in connection with the incident.

Public Information Officer Larry Weidel said that Nathaniel Bradley, 23, and Richard Shelby, 23, were those arrested. The warrant is issued for Amos Washington, 23.

At about 3:19 Monday morning the sheriff’s office responded to a scene

Weidel said that Derrick Boveland, 30, and a friend were standing on the 200 block of Ridgeway Street when a vehicle came down the street and started shooting at the two men. Boveland began shooting back, but was shot in the process, Weidel said. Boveland was transported to the Thibodaux Regional Medical Center.

Shelby, who along with Bradley and Washington were retaliating after a fight at the club “Beedy’s” in Thibodaux, was shot in the shoulder, Weidel said.

Bradley and Shelby were charged with two counts of attempted second degree murder and two counts of aggravated second degree battery.

Anyone with information as to the whereabouts of Amos Washington is asked to call Crimestoppers at 1-800-743-7433. A cash reward is available.
