The New Orleans Police Department is seeking the public’s help in finding 53-year-old Robert Smith, who is wanted in connection with the murder of 21-year-old Lawrence Robinson.

Robert Smith is wanted for murder.

The slaying occurred shortly after 1 p.m. on Monday in the 1400 block of South Rampart Street, public information officer Sabrina Richardson said.

In that incident, officers responded to a call of a shooting and, upon their arrival, found the victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim died on the scene.
