Sen. John McCain has cancelled his trip to New Orleans this evening, according to Gov. Jindal's press secretary.

The presumptive Republican presidential nominee, John McCain, was scheduled to be in New Orleans Wednesday evening.

There were several reports that McCain was going to meet Gov. Bobby Jindal, one of the candidate’s to be a running mate for the senator.

Neither McCain nor Jindal’s staff would confirm the meeting, though Gov. Jindal’s press secretary, Melissa Sellers, said in a press release that the trip was canceled.
