BATON ROUGE, La. -- A jury has been picked to hear the case against a Bourbon Street bouncer accused of killing a Georgia college student on New Year's Eve in 2004.

Thirty-five-year-old Clay Montz of Metairie is the second of four bouncers from the Razzoo Bar & Patio to be tried on a manslaughter charge stemming from the death of 26-year-old Levon Jones.

In April, a Calcasieu Parish jury acquitted 43-year-old Arthur Irons of Slidell of manslaughter after about an hour of deliberation and four days of testimony.

On Monday, 12 jurors and two alternates were selected to hear the case against Montz in Baton Rouge. Opening statements were expected Monday afternoon.

Orleans Parish Criminal Judge Raymond Bigelow agreed to move the proceedings after defense attorneys argued that widespread media coverage of the case would make it impossible to pick an impartial jury in New Orleans.
