A two-year-old child was in critical condition after being ejected from a car in an accident near the intersection of North Galvez and A.P. Tureaud Tuesday afternoon.

A spokesperson for New Orleans EMS said that the child was sleeping in the back seat and was not restrained when the accident occurred.

Paramedics took two other people to the hospital for minor injuries in the accident.
