Admitted serial killer pleads guilty to killing eight

HOUMA, La. (AP) -- A man suspected of killing as many as 23 men in south Louisiana over 10 years pleaded guilty Tuesday to eight counts of first-degree murder. Ronald Dominique was sentenced to serve 8 consecutive life terms.

Terrebonne Parish District Attorney Joe Waitz Junior says Dominique's guilty pleas were reached after consulting with the families of the eight victims, all of whom were believed killed in the parish.
Dominique, of Bayou Blue, was arrested in December 2006 at a homeless shelter in Houma. He allegedly confessed to soliciting sex from nearly two dozen men, then murdering them.
