Chad Bower / Eyewitness News

The Red Cross will be delivering Thursday cleanup supplies to hurricane impacted areas.

If you need clean-up kits, buckets, mops, shovels, rakes, gloves, tarps, hand sanitizer, comfort kits, paper towels or trash bags, you can get these by going to one of the distribution sites.

The supplies are available at:

  • First Baptist Church, Cedar Road, Grand Isle, La.
  • St. Eloi Catholic Church, 1335 Bayou Dularge, Theriot, La.
  • Knights of Columbus, 5396 Shrimpers Row, Dulac, La.
  • Sacred Heart Church, 1111 Highway 55, Montegut, La.

Also on Thursday, Red Cross workers will have hot food at:

  • First Baptist Church, Highway 1, Golden Meadow
  • Vision Christian Center, 4467 Highway 24, Bourg
  • Live Oak Baptist Church, Highway 665, Pointe-Aux-Chenes

And if you need a shelter because you have an unlivable home, the following shelters are open:

  • Larose Civic Center, 307 E. 5th St., Cut Off, La.
  • Dumas Recreation Center, Tunnel Blvd. at Barataria Ave., Houma, La.
  • Schriever gymnasium, 102 Kelsi Drive, Schriever, La.

Anyone evacuating to a Red Cross shelter should bring essential items for each member of the family:

  • Prescription and emergency medications
  • Foods and water
  • Identification and important personal documents
  • Change of clothing, pillows, blankets, hygiene supplies and other comfort items
  • Supplies needed for children and infants, such as diapers, formula and toys
  • Special items for family members who are elderly or disabled
