Citizens’ Insurance policyholders may find out later today whether or not the state’s insurer of last resort will be raising their rates.

The governing board of Citizens will meet to take up a proposed 14 percent rate increase.

That’s a statewide average for the rate, meaning that if it is approved, some policyholders would see lower costs, while others would see rates increase.
