Nine of the 10 were rescued in the Twin Spans accident on Oct. 30 . The other man, Eric Blackmon, died.
The Oct. 30 accident atop the new Interstate 10 bridges occurred as workers attempted to attach a metal platform on which crews stand while pouring concrete to build the roadway surface. The accident sent 10 workers tumbling 30 feet into the water.
Construction has resumed on the $800 million project. Work had been shutdown following the accident.
Officials say the 70-ton girder rolled off the cap that tops the pillars supporting the bridge. The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development and the federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration are among those investigating.
