SAN FRANCISCO -- In an interview with KPIX in San Francisco, 49ers Coach Mike Singletary made a bold prediction about the Saints and its high-powered offense.
Singletary had grown frustrated by questions regarding a Yahoo! article that referenced a rift in the locker room between the players and coaching staff and pushed on for questions about the Monday night matchup.
When asked how the Niners planned to stop Drew Brees, Singletary was curt: "We will not try to stop Drew Brees, we will stop Drew Brees."
He was just as confident about his team's chances against the Saints' defense as well: "We will not try ... we will move the ball and we will score."
