NEW ORLEANS -- The oil spill disaster drew a group of well-known actors and musicians to the French Quarter Tuesday afternoon.
Under rainy skies, actors Peter Fonda and Amy Smart, along with singer Jason Mraz, led a peaceful march through the French Quarter that they say was designed to support the victims of the oil spill disaster and offer up solutions.
The group said it wants to show support for the region as it battles the effects of the disaster.
"Hopefully after today, we begin a huge campaign to bring awareness to what's going on in Louisiana, because Louisiana is just one example, it's a microcosm for what's really happening all around the world," Mraz said.
The actors were in town to promote a documentary that focuses on green energy alternatives, "Fuel," by local filmmaker Josh Tickell.
