There was no major rioting in Louisiana during the Civil Rights Movement.
But there was a lot of history made in those days in the fight for equal rights.
There were many who stood on the front line of the Civil Rights Movement, including A.P. Tureaud, the legendary civil rights lawyer. And there is a new book about his life called “A More Nobile Cause: A.P. Tureaud and the Struggled for Civil Rights in Louisiana,” written by his son.
A.P. Tureaud Jr. one of the authors, talked with Eric Paulsen about his father and the book Monday morning. A panel discussion on the book is scheduled for tonight at LSU.
