NEW ORLEANS - During the 1960s and 1970s, comedian Dick Gregory used more than his humor to draw attention to the injustices of segregation in America. He often put his health and life in danger.
He's still very active as a comedian and politically.
He's in New Orleans with a pre-Essence presentation of his new show called "Conscious: A National Wake Up Tour."
He joined us Thursday morning to tell us about it.
The tour will appear at the W Hotel on Poydras Street on Thursday at 8 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. For more information, call 358-0846. For tickets, which are still available, go to brownpapertickets.com.
