It's a sad day when you can only get people to worship a football team in Church. These same people would look at you like you had three heads if you were to dance down the isle on a regular sunday mass because you wanted to worship the one true God. The catholic church is full of idol worship.

i want to say that they are very wrong for using God's house to worship the saints ( football ) to celebrate and dance like fools God is not happy he is angry it was very rude not just to God but to me and to every christian that serves God i am a church going person and i knoe better then to use Gods house for that nonsense ya'll should repent and ask for forgiveness because God will not forgive if ya'll don't repent i don't care who you are or who you know but my God will punish ya'll ya'll should be ashamed of yourselves and ya'll will have to answer to God for this he is coming very soon i would reprent and get saved while you can or you will burn in hell for the rest of your life the Bible say so

Anytime you can have that much love and happiness between a large group of people, considering it is harmless, why not let loose and enjoy it. The Saint's have galvanized this city which was in dyer need of an attitude uplift due to obvious reasons. I hope we can continue on our "positive energy", and not look back. Feel the love!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The people in New Orleans have survived Katrina, so I am willing to be a little lenient with them on this one. As for 2cool, the Catholic Church has a rich history and not full of idol worship. You obviously are not in a position to make an informed remark. Also, if you are talking about the Catholic Church, you must use a higher case "C". Otherwise, a lower case "c" in catholic only means universal. The Mass is a celebration and the parishioners were thankful their team won the Super Bowl!

glad the saints one but we should not use God's house to celebrate like that i understand ya'll are excited and want to rejoice but it is not proper to dance or sing like that in a Church it should be done outside because God's house is Holy God should be getting the praise and worship siants is a football team not a God or angel they are people playing football ya'll should reprent ask for forgiveness be saved filled with the Holy Ghost and be baptized in the name of the Father Son and Holy Ghost and to believe that God lives and to believe that God is real you shall make into the kingdom of Heaven if ya'll shall reject then he will cast you out into hell ready John 3:16 it is up to ya'll to make it right with God i have and i serve my God daily i rather go to Heaven then hell God said that we shall live rightous and that we shall obey Him and to serve Him if ya'll want to put the saints over God and worship the saints go ahead because the 10 commands says the first one says

I wonder will the Catholic Church make an announcement about the fact that they sponsored SLAVERY! I wonder will the Catholic Church let the blacks who attend their church know that the Catholic Church REQUIRED slaver owners to be Catholic inorder to possess slaves, and that in owning slaves, the masters of those slaves must convert those slaves into Catholicism. I wonder will the Catholic Church also make mention of the fact that when slaves tried to run away and were captured that the slave owner BRANDED the "Fluer de Lis" on their shoulders and cut off their ears!!! I wonder will the Catholic Church announce this TRUTH!!! And if you want to read more on this history, log on to Code Noir.com, and scroll down to Statute 38, and review for yourselves how the Catholic Church have been hiding the truth from blacks all these years!! And blacks running around here talking about they are a part of "Who Dat Nation!!!"

What a beautiful sight to see fans celebrate the Saints victory --- remember "don't judge lest ye be judged"!!!

i'm not here to judge or to put down on people i am saying don't use God's house to celebrate like that and dance the way the news reporter danced i am glad the saints won but they could have celebrated outside on the sidewalk not in the church

I think God Finally gave them a reason to celebrate so for those people who are downing the church maybe you should repent stop passing judgment on people God wouldn't like that either would he

Celebrating the Love of God as it connects with great events in Human History is not only apprpriate, it is also good for our Souls. Our Lady Star of the Sea is a community that loves to be in church. It loves to praise God with its "whole heart, whole mind and all that they are." They were not WOSHIPPING the New Orleans Saints. The sermon/homily connected our love for the New Orleans Saints with a desire to one day be with All the Saints when we finally go "Marching In" through the gates of Heaven! As to dancing in church, that is up to the great debate. since many have danced before the Lord throuhout all of salvific history, we can only assume that God is pleased. You pray your way and they can pray their way. Who amungst us can tell God how and to what style of prayer He should listen?

I am a member of this church (even though I live in Houston now) and we have exciting mass EVERY SUNDAY, and if you don't believe it, come visit and see what it's all about. Instead of being judgemental and self-righteous, come and experience our beautiful church, awesome feeling of unity and love and GET CRUNKED for CHRIST! My mom is in the choir, dad on the ACT board, daughter made her 1st communion here the year of Katrina. Come to mass and experience the love and unity we do EVERY SUNDAY! I challenge you to visit OUR LADY STAR OF THE SEA and not feel great while you are there and once you leave. GOD BLESS you all...including kevins, brokeithx and 2cool. OUR LADY STAR OF THE SEA/FATHER TONY KEEP UPLIFTING US AND BLESS YOU!!!!
