Many New Orleans homes are living history and while you may know how old your house is, do you know who built it or who owned it 50 or a 100 years ago? And what sort of stories it holds?

Now you can research your New Orleans property with help from the Friends of the Cabildo and the Preservation Resource Center.

Robert Cangelosi with the Tulane University School of Architecture talked about how to do it on the Eyewitness Morning News.

The "Researching Your New Orleans Property Program" on historic home research is Saturday at the old U.S. Mint at 400 Esplanade Ave. The program will begin at 10 a.m. and the cost is $30, though there is a discount for members of the Friends of the Cabildo, Preservation Resource Center and state museum.

You can also check out the link on the Friends of the Cabildo website for more information.
