NEW ORLEANS - Nominated along with "Beasts of the Southern Wild" in the Academy Awards' Best Picture category is the Quentin Tarantino film "Django Unchained."
The antebellum story about the cruelties of slavery, starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Jamie Foxx, received Oscar nominations including a Best Supporting Actor nomination for Christoph Waltz.
Also in the film is New Orleans actress Laura Cayouette, who plays DiCaprio's sister, Lara.
