NEW ORLEANS -- Most Hornets fans are happy to hear that the NBA franchise is here to stay and they hope this new ownership will mean more wins.
These Hornets fans had a lot to be excited about Friday night, as they watched their favorite team duke it out against the Utah Jazz just hours after hearing the NBA franchise is staying put.
“I was really excited and then i really knew what the slogan for this year means: I’m in for the good. So we’re in for the good,” said “Sharonce” Diva Bee.
After a bumpy start to the Hornets season with the Chris Paul trade and the NBA lockout, Hornets fans say they’re looking forward to seeing what Tom Benson has in store for the team.
“I think its great he changed and took the Saints and put them as winners. He’ll make the Hornets winners again,” said Tommy Talley.
“I think it will be a good impact for the city of New Orleans. I really do,” said Launey Beckham.
Brad Mindow lives in baton rouge and watches the hornets every chance he gets. He is surprised by the $338-million dollar nba-Tom Benson deal.
“I was, considering he has dual ownership of the saints and the hornets that’s a pretty big responsibility,” said Mindow.
