The Port of New Orleans has been preparing for the possible closing of river traffic if navigation becomes too treacherous and even though spillway openings are easing pressure on levees in the metro New Orleans area, authorities are keeping a close eye on them.

The President of the Southeast Louisiana Flood Protection Authority, West Bank, Susan Maclay, Vice-President of the Southeast Louisiana Flood Protection Authority, East Bank as well as the author of Rising Tide, one of the most important books ever written about Mississippi River flooding, John Barry, plus the Director of the Tulane Institute on Water Resources Law and Policy, Mark Davis, join Dennis to talk about what we should know about these high river levels, and their potential impact on all of us.
