Video: Archaeologist Andrea White explains what they're looking for and how their findings can help explain history.
Archaeologists are in the French Quarter looking for clues about the people who lived there throughout the last 230 years.
The University of New Orleans Department of Anthropology is conducting an archaeological excavation at 933 Conti, near Burgundy. It's the site of the future Irish Cultural Museum of New Orleans, which is scheduled to open in the Spring.
The excavation is scheduled to conclude on January 15, and museum construction is set to start this month.
