NEW ORLEANS -- As it begins to heat up, more and more locals are cooling off by flocking to sno-ball stands around the city.

But no other stand in the New Orleans area sees crowds as large as at Hansen's, one of the oldest operating sno-ball stands in the city.

Hansen's Sno Bliz has been serving out sno-balls since the 1930s, and their super fine ice, made with a decades-old machine built by the original owner, creates a creamy sno-ball that stands apart from the rest.

We visited Hansen's for a tour of their Uptown location and to see exactly how their sno-balls are done. Ashley Hansen, who re-opened the store in 2006 after it was shut down during Hurricane Katrina, gave us a step-by-step look at the process of making these tasty treats
