JEFFERSON, La. -- After two days of hearings before the Jefferson Parish Council, Councilman At-large Chris Roberts reports all JPHA removals have been upheld.

Six members of the Jefferson Parish Housing Authority were fired last year for refusing to fire Executive Director Barry Bordelon.

Bordelon was at the center of a scathing HUD Inspector General report pointing to a series of spending irregularities.

Instead of firing Bordelon, JPHA commissioners rehired him as a maintenance supervisor.

The JPHA commissioners have filed a lawsuit that's expected to be heard in federal court this week.
