NEW ORLEANS -- New Orleans has become a national hotbed for entrepreneurs, and now former Saints player Steve Gleason is issuing them a challenge.

Gleason has ALS, but also a vision.

He says given New Orleans' emerging bio-med district, now is the right time and place to create a thriving community of innovative tech companies that will help people turn their disabilities into super-abilities.

In a lighter moment, he talked about his own innovative equipment that allows him to communicate.

“As crazy as it seems that I navigate the computer with my eyes, someday soon you will be able to do the same thing,” Gleason said. “When that day comes, remember you saw it here first or second.”

The Gleason Challenge was issued at day two of the 2013 New Orleans Entrepreneur Week.
