BATON ROUGE, La. -- LSU head coach Les Miles says he won't have anything to say about stories circulating in the media that the university has suspended three players for this weekend's game with Auburn.

Miles held the press conference Wednesday after rumors about the suspensions of starting defensive backs Tyrann Mathieu and Therold Simon and running back Spencer Ware. A source inside LSU’s athletic department has told WWL-TV the players are suspended for the Auburn game for "violation of team rules."

Miles acknowledged that there has been an incident, but he wouldn't go as far as to name any names or give any reasons for the suspensions.

"I'm not reactionary to the needs of media and things external to this building," Miles said. "So, that being said, there's a process that I go through, and it's not going to be short-cutted for the need to communicate."

Miles said when there's information to share, he will.

"I'm only doing this for the best of our football team and our squad and to maintain a deportment and a procedure that I'm true to and a process that I'm very comfortable with," he said.

Miles added that the depth chart at running back and in the secondary hasn't changed.
