ST. BERNARD, La. -- If you live in St. Bernard Parish, you could see a hike in your water bill.

At a council meeting Tuesday afternoon, the parish introduced a new ordinance that would add $27.51 cents in fees on residents' monthly water and sewer bills.

If approved, the new rate would go into effect Sept. 1 and would help fund parish services like fire protection, parks and public works.
