NEW ORLEANS -- The volunteers who worked during the Super Bowl enjoyed a special party Monday.
The Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation hosted the private volunteer party at the Superdome.
The Saintsations were there, as well as some former Saints players who signed autographs.
With an event as big as the Super Bowl, it took a lot of volunteers to ensure its success.
"We recruited 17,000 people over the past two years who were interested in volunteering for the Super Bowl. Six thousand of them actually got a chance to volunteer and signed up online. Over 13,000 shifts were available for them to sign up for.
Another ticket for the volunteer party: everyone got tickets to the Hornets game.
