The mandatory evacuation for parts of Plaquemines Parish has been lifted, and this includes a mandatory curfew for the east bank of the parish.

The mandatory evacuation for the entire east bank and all areas on the westbank with no levee protection was changed to a voluntary evacuation.

A dusk-to-dawn curfew for east bank residents remains in place.

There is a voluntary evacuation for the west bank of Plaquemines Parish from Ironton to Venice.

Friday evening the parish opened up Belle Chasse Auditorium as a shelter, and there are also extra beds at Belle Chasse High School.

Officials do not expect to close the flood gates at Hwy. 23 at Oakville or at Hwy. 39 right on the St. Bernard and Plaquemines Parish line.

Ferries at Scarsdale and Point a la Hache in Plaquemines Parish are both expected to keep running unless winds get to over 50 miles per hour.
