NEW ORLEANS -- The White House has released information about the president’s trip to New Orleans this week.
President Barack Obama will visit the Port of New Orleans, where he will take part in an event focusing on growing the local economy and the nation's economy by increasing exports.
“It creates jobs here in this country. It stimulates economic growth,” said White House Deputy Press Secretary Josh Earnest. “And one of the president's top economic priorities is to make sure we're doing everything we can to promote and expand exports of good, quality American goods.”
The president will be in New Orleans on Friday.
