A rather typical late August day is in store on this Thursday. Look for a partly cloudy and humid morning, then a hot afternoon with a few pop-up showers or storms. This evening will be partly cloudy and warm in the 80s, with a slight chance for a lingering shower or storm. Rain chances will slide back toward 10% overnight.

Moisture from the Gulf will increase Friday and Saturday. Our chance for showers and thunderstorms will increase, especially by Saturday. The increased cloud cover and scattered rain may keep temperatures down a touch. A few heavy downpours will be possible.
