Laura Buchtel/WWL-TV Morning Meteorologist
A few areas along our coast may see some patchy fog this morning, but that will dissipate over the next couple of hours. Otherwise we're expecting a pretty quiet and mild day ahead with highs in the lower 70s and a mix of sun and clouds. A sprinkle is possible along the coast, but rain is not really anticipated today.
Tomorrow is a different story as a low pressure area from the Gulf tracks across Louisiana. Clouds will increase through the morning, and then rain will develop by late morning and into the midday hours. A few thunderstorms will be mixed in as well. Right now it looks wet through the afternoon, with the rain wrapping up in the evening on Tuesday. A cool front will sweep through on the backside of the low, dropping highs on Thursday to the 50s.
