As of 10:15 p.m. Saturday night, Ida was upgraded back up to a Category 1 hurricane with winds at 75 mph.  It is located about 150 miles E of Cozumel, Mexico.

Ida will at least maintain its strength as it moves through the Yucatan Channel and impacts the Yucatan Peninsula and western Cuba.  It will eventually move back over the Gulf of Mexico, where it will become extratropical sometime Tuesday, losing some of its steam.  It still does appear that what is left of Ida, though no longer a tropical system, but still a storm with some strong winds and heavy rain, will make her way toward our neck of the woods late Sunday through early Tuesday.
