NEW ORLEANS -- With 9,000 customers still in the dark from Hurricane Isaac, is there a shakeup underway at Entergy?

Late Wednesday the chairman of Entergy, Wayne Leonard, announced that he will retire at the end of the year.

That decision is allegedly not connected to the storm.

"That's a ludicrous question. It has nothing to do with this. To be perfectly frank with you, I actually had a meeting with William Bryant of DOTD today, and he shared with me that in his opinion this was one of the best recoveries in the history of the United States, restorations," said Charles Rice, Entergy New Orleans CEO.

Leonard was the longest-serving CEO in Entergy's history. He will be replaced by the company's chief financial officer, Leo Denault.

And late Wednesday, there's also word that Bill Mohl, the chairman, president and CEO of Entergy Louisiana is also changing jobs.

He'll be Entergy's next president of wholesale commodities.
