JEFFERSON PARISH, La. -- The first signs of recovery are beginning in lower Jefferson Parish, as Lafitte and Barataria were re-opened for residents and property owners only,
The area of south of Goose Bayou, however, is still closed.
"Ice, water, MRE’s, tarps, clean-up kits, and toiletries are available for those residents, if needed, next to Town Hall," said a statement from parish officials
