Artist Stephan Wanger who creates New Orleans focused artwork mosaics with recycled Mardi Gras beads to promote the city to the world has decided to create his greatest work ever to commemorate the 5th Anniversary of the struggle and survival of the people of New Orleans. He and a team of other NOLA warriors dedicated to seeing this project to fruition have been working for two weeks straight to bring this project to life. It will be unveiled Wednesday at 6:30 at the JW Marriott on Canal street following a Jazz Funeral / Second Line led by Katrina survivor and Musician Charmain Neville. All public is welcome.
This is completely a volunteer effort and his art will be auctioned off with a starting bid of $1,000,000 which will be donated to New Orleans charities! More information can be found here
