My mom, Verna Arroyo, is truly a special and loving person. She is now legally blind but has a wonderful, positive attitude about life. She raised 4 successful children and fostered and encouraged our love of theatre, the arts and the environment at a very young age..She also mentored hundreds of other kids though her MOTHER GOOSE ADVENTURE pre school...all of her nursery kids are all successes in their own right...attorneys, doctors, engineers, nurses...She helped build a strong foundation that was a combination of love, disciple and learning. She also had her own children's show on New Orleans TV "MOTHER GOOSE ON THE LOOSE." And she entertained at children's birthday parties and at Children's Hospital for decades as Mother Goose. On Christmas Eve when we were kids, she and my dad would go driving through struggling neighborhoods to find people waiting at bus stops. They would ask them if they had kids at home and if the answer was "yes", my parents would pull a bag of dolls and toys out of their trunk to give to the person to help make their kid's Christmas that much more special. My mom has always put all of us and others before her and she is loved by all who have ever known her!
